Our solar paneled string lights come with a built-in nighttime sensor which conveniently turns the lights on automatically once nightfall is detected. The lights are built to work only at night, so if the remote is used to try to turn the lights on prior to when they come on by themselves, the lights will come on for a few seconds (to signal that they and the remote are functioning properly), and then shut off.
If you have tried turning on your lights during the day, dusk, or early evening, we recommend waiting until true nighttime to see if the lights come on on their own, as they should, before attempting to operate the remote.
